Marcus lies to his parents because he doesn't wont them to worry about him and Darryl. Yes because I don't wont my parents to worry and start a dramatic scene. It would be very eerie if that would have happen to me. It would be like that because it was weird how them kept them there for like a week with no contact with  the world.
